Walking and Talking Therapy

The image often evoked of counselling and therapy involves a room and two chairs, maybe a couch but therapy doesn’t have to be that way.

Walking and talking during your therapy session, rather than being enclosed in a therapy room can feel less intense for some clients. Walking next to each other, in nature, can feel less formal and can allow deeper exploration of feelings. There is also the added benefit of being outdoors in nature, from increased wellbeing, lowered anxiety, depression and stress levels, to reduce anger and increase confidence and can boost self-esteem.

We can also offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, using horses and nature to calm the nervous system and use the unique nature of horses to deepen our understanding of ourselves.
